Investor orientation: JHB2 has a documented financing announcement, but funding availability must not be confused with money spent or delivered computing.

AirTrunk reported on July 29, 2026 that it secured US$2.325 billion of green financing for its JHB2 campus in Johor, Malaysia [1]. Bloomberg’s accessible report, carried by The Business Times, describes the transaction and attributes the financing terms to the company [6]. This supersedes the profile’s description of financing solely as a proposal. The public evidence does not establish the amount drawn, construction expenditure or customer acceptance.

IFC project 52336 identifies AirTrunk Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and covers existing JHB1 alongside greenfield JHB2. Its investment-information record lists an August 28, 2026 invested event, while its amount section still describes a package of up to US$175 million and an approved-amount field remains pending [2]. Preserve that disclosure inconsistency; do not call the entire amount disbursed, assign it solely to JHB2 or add it to the syndicated facility without reconciling overlap.

The operator’s undated JHB2 page lists270+MW total campus capacity and designPUE1.37 [4]. These are design specifications, not operating IT load or measured efficiency. IFC names TNB as power provider and Leightons Malaysia as construction/fit-out contractor [3]. This documents roles, not an executed capacity entitlement or contractor revenue. TNB’s historical briefing names JHB2 in supply-facilitation work but provides no phase-specific acceptance [8].

Key milestones: July29,2026—issuer financing announcement; August28,2026—IFC recorded investment event for its two-campus project. A public myBina preview states structural works and carries an August7 verification date, but underlying detailed records are locked [5]. No commissioning date, accepted ITMW, tenant identity or utilization is established. The local inspection lead found in search concerns an AirTrunk SiLC site in2024 and cannot be assigned to JHB2 or treated as an issued permit.

Investor takeaway · Our analysis: the evidence now supports a stronger financing description, not an operating-capacity upgrade. The next meaningful checkpoints are project-specific utility acceptance, dated phase commissioning/customer service and documented drawdown or expenditure. Missing values remain unavailable, not zero.
