For Q2 2026, Trane reported $6.354 billion of revenue and $12.1 billion of backlog across multiple HVAC markets. First-half free cash flow was $1.603 billion. June cash was $1.318 billion and debt was $4.617 billion; GAAP operating margin was 19.3%.
Delivery and commitments
The September 30 demonstration with Eaton and Danfoss showed an 800-volt direct-current chiller with more than 3.5 MW of cooling capability and potential efficiency benefits. It was a laboratory demonstration, not evidence of accepted commercial installations.
Costs, funding and dependencies
Engineering qualification, manufacturing, customer design choices and deployment schedules determine commercialization. Potential customer energy savings are not Trane earnings, and company backlog cannot be assigned to the demonstrated chiller.
