Financial context
For fiscal Q3 2026, HP reported approximately $15.7 billion of revenue. Personal Systems generated $11.767 billion with a 4.6% operating margin, compared with 5.4% a year earlier. Operating cash flow was $1.735 billion for the quarter.
Products and delivery
HP described spring early access and a limited summer rollout for HP IQ, followed by targeted fall availability. A local model capability of 20 billion parameters describes technical functionality; it does not establish device shipments, paid software adoption or incremental revenue.
Plans and commitments
The broader device and software rollout was planned for the second half of 2026. Planned availability must be distinguished from completed shipments and customer activation. The announcements do not separately disclose the revenue premium or cost attributable to the AI capabilities.
Economics and dependencies
Personal Systems unit volume fell 16% in fiscal Q3 2026 despite revenue growth, illustrating the importance of price and mix. At July 31, inventory was $10.322 billion, while short-term borrowings and long-term debt were $1.292 billion and $7.868 billion respectively.
What to watch
Commercial availability, customer adoption and inventory conversion can show whether the AI PC rollout supports profitable demand. HP’s $4.169 billion of cash, equivalents and restricted cash at July 31 provides balance-sheet context, while hardware margins remain sensitive to component costs and product mix.
Documented project connections
Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.
No named tracked-project role has been established by the evidence used for this profile. This does not mean the company has no AI exposure.
Evidence boundaries
Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.
This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
