DNB Bank
Business, financial evidence and documented connections to the AI buildout.
Business and AI exposure
DNB is a Norwegian financial group. Its named role in Nscale’s Narvik financing is bookrunner and mandated lead arranger, providing an infrastructure-lending connection to AI computing. That role establishes participation in a lending group rather than ownership of the project.

Financial context
For Q2 2026, DNB reported profit of NOK 9.8 billion and a 17.4% CET1 capital ratio. Net commissions and fees grew 4.6%. These group measures include many businesses and do not identify the contribution from Narvik or an AI-specific revenue share.
Delivery and commitments
Nscale announced a $790 million committed financing package in May 2026, with a separate uncommitted accordion for the same amount. Its Microsoft infrastructure agreement carries a 2027 delivery timetable. Neither total facility size nor prospective expansion reveals how much DNB will ultimately lend.
Costs, funding and dependencies
Loan drawdown, borrower execution, credit risk and financing terms govern the bank’s return. The reviewed disclosure does not give DNB’s retained amount, arranging fee or collateral allocation. Strong group capital does not settle the risk or profitability of an individual facility.
What to watch next
Watch funding utilization, construction and customer delivery, followed by any lender disclosures about retained exposure or credit performance. Keep the committed facility, optional expansion and operating campus milestones separate.
Documented project connections
Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.
Nscale Narvik / Kvandal
Bookrunner and mandated lead arranger in Nscale's Norway financing.
$790 million is the shared committed facility; the separate $790 million accordion was uncommitted. Individual bank exposure and fees are undisclosed.
Evidence boundaries
Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.
This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
