Business, financial evidence and documented connections to the AI buildout.
Business and AI exposure
Cisco sells networking hardware, silicon, software and security services. Its hyperscaler AI infrastructure business supplies the connectivity required by large computing clusters. That activity sits within a diversified portfolio serving enterprises, communications networks and cloud customers with many different workloads.

Financial context
For FY2026, Cisco reported $63.3 billion of total revenue and a GAAP operating margin of 24.3%. Approximately $4 billion was identified as hyperscaler AI infrastructure revenue, equivalent to about 6.3% of company revenue. AI-specific operating profit was not disclosed.
Products and delivery
Cisco recorded $9.3 billion of hyperscaler AI infrastructure orders during FY2026, compared with approximately $4 billion of recognized revenue. The difference reflects distinct measures and delivery periods; orders should not be treated as revenue already earned.
Plans and commitments
For FY2027, management forecast $7.5 billion of hyperscaler AI infrastructure revenue within total company revenue of $72.2 billion–$73.4 billion. Those figures describe an expected increase in commercial scale, rather than completed shipments or an assured result.
Economics and dependencies
The conversion of AI orders into sales depends on product supply, customer installation schedules and contractual acceptance. A larger AI hardware contribution can also change company product mix. Cisco has not provided a separate profit margin for this revenue category.
What to watch
Fiscal 2027 quarterly reports can show whether AI infrastructure revenue develops in line with management’s forecast and how it affects broader profitability. Comparing orders, recognized revenue and margins separately will preserve the distinction between demand, delivery and retained earnings.
Documented project connections
Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.
No named tracked-project role has been established by the evidence used for this profile. This does not mean the company has no AI exposure.
Evidence boundaries
Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.
This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
