Second-quarter 2026 cash-flow measures
Brookfield Infrastructure reported $702 million of funds from operations in the second quarter of 2026. The data segment contributed $154 million, but that segment also includes fiber and Intel foundry investments. Its contribution therefore does not represent an AI-only share of partnership earnings.
An initial 55 MW installed
The January 2026 unitholder letter reported the first 55 MW installed within a power-infrastructure program serving hyperscalers. Approximately 230 MW had been secured in total, including additional contracted projects. Installed capacity and the broader contracted pipeline represent different stages of delivery.
Equity deployment and long contracts
Brookfield Infrastructure expected approximately $50 million of equity investment net to the partnership to be fully deployed by mid-2027. Additional contracts run for at least 15 years. Related data-center leases were expected to be commissioned over three years, rather than all becoming productive immediately.
Liquidity supports a broader program
The second-quarter 2026 update reported more than $2.6 billion of corporate liquidity and no corporate debt maturities before 2027. More than $1.5 billion of capital projects had been commissioned across segments. Those figures describe the overall portfolio and do not isolate returns from the hyperscaler power program.
Track partnership-level returns
Further installations, the remaining equity deployment and the start of customer payments would demonstrate progress from contracted capacity to operating assets. Project-level cash distributions and returns would be more informative for BIP holders than headline capacity or total capital invested by the wider Brookfield organization.
Documented project connections
Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.
Ascenty Querétaro 1
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners is an investor in Ascenty, the Querétaro 1 operator, alongside Digital Realty.
The joint-venture relationship is not wholly owned BIP campus economics; site-specific equity, earnings and AI-only utilization are not disclosed.
Data4 Escaudain / Les Soufflantes
Brookfield Infrastructure partnership exposure through Data4, which is developing the Escaudain campus.
The platform acquisition does not disclose BIP's exact site investment or earnings; the announced campus development is not all operating capacity.
Data4 Frankfurt-Hanau / Großauheim campus
Brookfield Infrastructure Partners reports an effective 19% interest in Data4, the developer of the Hanau campus, in its 2025 annual report.
BIP's disclosed platform interest supports indirect project exposure. It does not establish direct or wholly owned BIP campus ownership, Hanau-specific equity percentage, funded construction cost, site earnings or operating capacity. The entire platform and its planned campus investment cannot be allocated to BIP.
Evidence boundaries
Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.
This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
