Business, financial evidence and documented connections to the AI buildout.

Business and AI exposure

Bird Construction is a Canadian construction company. Bell named it lead construction partner for the planned 300 MW Saskatchewan AI Fabric facility and announced a longer-term partnership. Bird’s pathway is construction revenue and project margin, rather than rental income or ownership of the campus.

Financial context

For Q2 2026, Bird reported C$1.0433 billion of construction revenue, C$30.3 million of net income and C$73.9 million of adjusted EBITDA. Contracted backlog of approximately C$6.1 billion was separate from C$6 billion of pending backlog. These company totals do not disclose the Bell contract’s value.

Delivery and commitments

The May partnership announcement establishes a named construction role. Saskatchewan’s October 1 update reported four shells under construction and preparation for fit-out, with the first hall targeted for the first half of 2027. Those are campus milestones, not a disclosure of Bird’s accepted work or recognized contract revenue.

Costs, funding and dependencies

Bird reported C$264.3 million of cash and C$446.5 million of available credit. Its C$77.7 million operating cash-flow measure before working-capital changes is not unadjusted operating cash flow. Labor, procurement, schedule and contractual terms will influence actual project returns.

What to watch next

Watch construction progress, contract conversion and cash collection. The company’s pending backlog should remain separate from signed work, and campus capacity should not be used as a substitute for Bird’s contract value or margin.

Documented project connections

Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.

Bell AI Fabric Sherwood

Bird Construction is Bell's lead construction partner for the Saskatchewan AI Fabric development.

Construction role is not campus ownership. Project capacity and Bell's total spending do not establish Bird's contract revenue; first-phase delivery remains targeted.

Evidence boundaries

Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.

This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
