Analytics software with AI-driven usage

Amplitude sells analytics software that helps companies understand and improve digital products. Its AI Assistant and Agent Analytics expand how customers interact with that data. Commercial value comes through subscriptions and usage, while inference and data-hosting costs affect how much of the resulting revenue becomes gross profit.

Second-quarter 2026 commercial base

Amplitude reported $100.9 million of revenue, $410 million of annual recurring revenue and $483 million of remaining performance obligations for the second quarter of 2026. Free cash flow was $23.7 million. These measures cover the overall business rather than an isolated AI product line.

AI products are already in use

The AI Assistant launched in April 2026, and the company subsequently described both Assistant and Agent Analytics as launched products. Management said customers adopting AI ran nearly ten times as many analyses. That demonstrates increased usage, but usage growth alone does not establish equivalent growth in revenue.

Pricing is moving through the customer base

At the second-quarter 2026 update, new pricing covered 28% of total ARR and 70% of ARR closed during the quarter. More than 40 AI-native customers each paid over $100,000 annually. These are distinct customer and pricing measures, rather than percentages of company revenue generated by AI.

Higher usage also raises costs

Management attributed another two-percentage-point sequential gross-margin reduction to AI adoption and data ingestion, separately from the Statsig impact. It expected gross margin in the low 70s while reducing operating expenses. The financial challenge is to convert engagement into recurring sales without losing too much gross profit to serving costs.

Compare monetization with the cost curve

ARR expansion, customer retention and the migration to new pricing will help establish monetization. Gross margin and free cash flow show whether the additional usage is economically productive. Because the products are already launched, the key next evidence is commercial performance rather than another availability announcement.

Documented project connections

Each connection below has a specific, cited role. A supplier, lender, customer or proposed acquirer has different economics from the project owner.

No named tracked-project role has been established by the evidence used for this profile. This does not mean the company has no AI exposure.

Evidence boundaries

Company totals, segment sales, bookings, backlog, spending, capacity and usage describe different things. They do not establish project-level revenue, earnings or an exact AI-only revenue share unless the cited disclosure explicitly says so.

This is a dated research snapshot. Forecasts are attributed expectations, and undisclosed amounts remain unknown. Source review does not certify every project or future outcome.
